Stockholm Vest with Carol Johnson (4 sessions)
3pm-5pm, May 19th, June 2nd, June 16th, June 30th
Description
Join us for a fun and skill-building knitting class as we crate the Stockholm Slipover V-Neck by PetiteKnit- a stylish and versatile vest worked seamlessly from the top down! This project is a fantastic introduction to sweater knitting, perfect for those ready to expand their skills beyond basic scarves and hats.
You'll begin by knitting the back, then pick up stitches to shape the front, learning essential techniques such as short row shaping and picking up stitches for the neckline and armhole ribbing.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - you must know how to do the long-tail cast-on, knit and purl. Schedule an additional appointment prior to the class if you need to brush-up on these skills.
We request that materials are purchased at Spry Whimsy Fiber Arts. The pattern requires either a lace and fingering held-together or a worsted-weight yarn to achieve 19 stitches per 4 inches in stockinette stitch in the round after being washed and blocked. You may consult us in the store prior to the class to start your swatch if desired, but swatching will be covered in the first class.
Pattern available for purchase online or in the store here:
